Khao Fun is an eight-year-old child living in extreme poverty in Ubon Ratchathani. She is the younger half-sister of Khao Bun and faces significant hardship from an early age. Khao Fun lives with her mother and half-brother in a household struggling with severe financial hardship. Her mother is a functional drug addict who works each day in an effort to provide for her children despite her own addiction and difficult circumstances.

The family often struggles to afford basic necessities, including nutritious food, clean clothing, school supplies, and other essentials required for healthy childhood development. Their living conditions reflect the daily challenges experienced by many vulnerable families caught in cycles of poverty and addiction.
